Having a second home or third home is not practical for most people. Modern households do not have a relative with a large home available for an extended holiday visit. The pandemic has created a growing demand for private spaces that are transportable. Recreational vehicles are an affordable way to always have a place for a holiday. Here are a few benefits of RV self-storage facilities.
Storing an RV on residential property is not always possible. Parking in a driveway or on the street in front of the home may make going in and out of the garage or front door difficult. Local city ordinances may not allow any recreational vehicles on the property for long term parking. The city may allow a week before they will issue a ticket or warning citation. Meddling neighbors may call and report the RV as an eyesore or state it's too close to their parking area. Opportunistic thieves often take notice of vehicles that do not move in residential areas. Parking in an unsecured area makes the RV an easy target for thieves who want to strip the interior of valuable items. Thieves may steal wiring, air conditioning and heating elements, electronics, and appliances. Cities with high crime rates have thieves who steal RVs to transform them into meth labs or sell them in neighboring areas.
Most people want to leave their homes and get on the road for their vacation. Selecting an RV self-storage facility that is local makes it easy to plan a weekend getaway. Visit the website or go in person to see how the facility is set up. The interior of the storage facility may have a cleaning area with vacuums and cleaning supplies. Having a secure place to clean the RV before putting it in storage is important. Cleaning will lower the risk of attracting any pests and the RV will be inviting when departing for a new trip.
There are different options within the RV self-storage facility. The price points may be different for outside storage that is covered, enclosed parking spaces, and temperature-controlled spaces. All three of these options give protection from the elements and prying eyes. Take note of the security features both inside and outside the RV storage facility. Secure a space today by reaching out to the RV self-storage to see what spaces available.

While I lived in a small town my entire life, in my early 20s I decided to move to a big bustling city. Since the cost of living was so low in my hometown, I was able to afford a rental home. However, with my income, I realized I could only afford a studio apartment in my new city. I did not want to get rid of all of my furniture and belongings that would not fit into my new small apartment, especially my prized collection of antique dolls! I was worried my dolls would not fare well in storage, but I learned that any collectible can be kept in great condition when prepared properly for storage and kept in the right unit. I decided to share what I have learned about choosing storage units and keeping collectibles in great condition while in storage on my new blog!
